Have a look on the Microsoft new computing Device called "Surface" aka Project code "Milan". The surface is more kind of PC that runs Vista in the back but rather than working with keyboard and mouse, it works on a touch-sensitive display. image to your right is Bill Gates talks with TODAY tech editor Paul Hochman while demonstrating his company's new computing device, Surface. I am sure that few years down the line, this news inventions gonna change the way people perceive the PC. Its just a wait and watch situation for us

Microsoft also came up with a separate site

This product is very nice. I feel the cost of this product will be very height. People will think twice before buying this but i feel it will be best for office use. If this "Surface PC" or the Table PC is also been integrated with a scanner on the surface of the table then it will become great and feeding information like contact information from business card to Address book, and scanning photos and mailing them and much more things will become faster, since every thing will be on the desk it will be very comfortable and easy to interact.

The cost of the device is not too high. It is estimated to be $5000-$10000. However the costs of the servers and the complete deployment will add up cost but surely worth i guess! Also, the partners have access to this and articles suggest that US military applications have already started using this. Not sure when the commercial use release be, but yes it is there for all to explore.
Microsoft has all this bundled with their package release of .net 3.0/Silverlight ....and so on. HTH - Dipesh
